Utica Avenue's bus lanes are camera-enforced, and the camera does not distinguish a breakdown from a parker: a car dying in the bus lane starts collecting tickets while it waits. Tell us immediately if that is where you are; we prioritize the hookup and, where it is safe, get the vehicle around the corner onto a side street first.
The hospital blocks
The Kings County Hospital and SUNY Downstate complex around Clarkson and Winthrop is ringed with no-standing zones and ambulance corridors. We cannot stage a flatbed in an ambulance bay, so for pickups near the hospitals we agree an exact corner with you first (usually on New York Avenue or east of the complex) rather than circling.
Linden Boulevard moves fast and heavy
Linden is a freight route: multiple lanes, real speed, and box trucks in the mix. A breakdown in a live lane here is the most dangerous kind of call we take in this neighborhood. Get everyone behind a barrier or well onto the sidewalk, put the hazards on, and we bring the truck in behind the vehicle to close the lane before anyone touches a hook.
