One entrance, and it is Avenue U
Everything enters over Avenue U at Bergen Avenue. A stalled car in that intersection blocks the neighbourhood for everyone, so if you have broken down there we treat it as a priority clearance rather than a routine tow.
The service road is not the parkway
Shore Parkway's service road runs alongside the Belt and callers frequently give us one when they mean the other. They are separated by a barrier for long stretches, so getting it wrong can cost a full loop back at the next exit. If you can see traffic moving fast on your left, you are on the service road.
Cul-de-sacs and no turning circle
The residential streets off Royce and Bergen end in short courts sized for cars, not trucks. We generally stage on Bergen Avenue and walk the wheel-lift in rather than committing a flatbed to a street it cannot turn around in.
Marsh flooding after heavy rain
The low ground near Four Sparrow Marsh holds water, and cars that die in it usually died from water ingestion rather than anything electrical. Do not keep cranking it — that turns a tow into an engine.
