The tree canopy is lower than the truck
Argyle, Rugby, Marlborough, Westminster and Stratford carry a continuous canopy that hangs well below the height of a raised flatbed deck. We do not tilt a deck under those trees. The car comes out on a wheel-lift to Cortelyou or Coney Island Avenue and gets loaded there.
One-way streets that alternate
The named streets run one way and the direction alternates block to block. An approach that looks like two turns on a map is often four, so the cross street you give us matters more here than almost anywhere else we work.
Shared and shallow driveways
Many of the Victorians share a single driveway between two houses, and most are too short to hold a car clear of the sidewalk. If yours is blocked in, that is a winch job from the street rather than a truck coming up the drive.
Cortelyou Road on a weekend
The restaurant stretch of Cortelyou between Argyle and Stratford is congested and heavily curbed from Friday evening onward. We stage on Coney Island Avenue and come in on foot rather than blocking it.
