Onto the peninsula.
There are exactly two road connections to the Rockaways, so the route matters more here than it does anywhere else in the city.
From Brooklyn
Flatbush Avenue south to the Marine Parkway–Gil Hodges Bridge, then west along the peninsula.
From Queens
Cross Bay Boulevard south over the Cross Bay Bridge, then west on Rockaway Beach Boulevard.
From the Belt Parkway
Exit at Flatbush Avenue and follow the signs for Marine Parkway Bridge.
Give yourself extra time in summer
Beach traffic backs both bridges up badly on warm weekends. Call and we'll hold the car.
